Dotfiles are hidden configuration files on a Unix-based system. They store configurations, settings, and preferences for apps and tools. This allows me to create a customised environment and personalise my workflow.
The great thing is I can share these dotfiles across different machines, hence I’ve stored them in a git repository . Since I got into configuring My Setup only recently, I’ve been doing all this on my work laptop. The repo thus comes in clutch when it comes time to port my dotfiles over to my personal laptop after my internship is over.
