I’m really glad that I decided to learn French this semester. It’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made in school so far, especially because I very well had the option to choose literally anything else (especially something STEM-related), yet chose to take this module as an elective. I find myself looking forward to my Monday class every single week, and I can’t believe it’s already Week 8 and that this will be ending soon.

That being said, I don’t think I’ve been on the ball at all with my studies. I only have 2 mods this semester, yet I’m still finding myself really far behind in content and playing catch-up in preparation for my midterms. This has to change, so I have to figure something out this week - a plan that I can abide by for the rest of the semester.

I’m not sure why I’ve been so checked out of my Stats class, but I just have zero interest in engaging in any part of it - tutorials, lectures, Datacamp blablabla. At least my minor is cleared once this is done. I hope I do take away at least one thing of value from this mod. I don’t really know what I can do to improve my enjoyment of this module other than to get my hands dirty and dig deep into the syllabus in the next two days as I prepare for my midterm. Hopefully that helps.

Internship-wise, the company I’m working at has been an interesting environment to be working in. There’s so little structure and such murky directions given for projects, yet this kind of benefits me when it comes to my project because I almost have complete autonomy to do whatever I want and explore things at my own pace. The problem is that I’ve been restricted to solely this project, even though I wanted to contribute to the pricing engine that the other 2 interns are working on. That being said, the direction of that project is even murkier and the deliverables + deadlines being asked of these interns are genuinely ridiculous. I’m not sure how the remaining 3 months are gonna go, but I do hope I’m able to learn way more than just what I’ve picked up so far.
